The London Concert Orchestra appoints Anthony Inglis as Music Director


Raymond Gubbay Ltd are proud to announce the appointment of Anthony Inglis as Music Director of the London Concert Orchestra.

Having regularly worked with Anthony for three decades, the London Concert Orchestra is looking forward with real enthusiasm to continuing this relationship and to further developing the reputation of the orchestra.

Anthony Inglis’ statement:

“It is with great pleasure that I have accepted the position of Music Director at the London Concert Orchestra. Formed in 1972 as Raymond Gubbay Ltd’s own orchestra, recent years have seen the LCO go from strength to strength across a wide variety of musical genres, as it continues to perform in the UK’s premier concert halls. Working with the orchestra has always been special and I am greatly looking forward to being part of the orchestra’s future, forging new relationships and making great music together for audiences around the UK.”

The first performance with Anthony Inglis at the helm will be at the Royal Festival Hall on 5th May 2018, nearly 30 years to the day since the orchestra first worked with him on 6th May 1988 at the Barbican.

Anthony will be conducting the London Concert Orchestra in a wide range of performances in 2018 and beyond, including concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and the Royal Festival Hall.
